Canada's Human Rights Commitments

WFMC’s project on Canada’s Human Rights Commitments is a web-based educational resource, a database of Canada’s international commitments regarding the major international human rights and humanitarian law treaties and other instruments.

This website offers Canadians an accessible, all-in-one-place presentation, in English and French, of the body of international human rights and humanitarian instruments, as well as up to date information regarding the extent of Canadian participation respecting these instruments.

The project began under the support of former WFMC President, the late Warren Allmand.

With recent updates, there are currently 42 summaries in English and 25 in French. A further twelve summaries in English are pending, along with translation of the outstanding summaries into French.

You can sign up for email updates on the project.
