Join WFM-Canada in Highlighting Global Peace, Nuclear Disarmament, and World Federalism from September 21 to October 2

The highly anticipated UN Summit of the Future (SOTF) approaches! With the main Summit scheduled for September 22-23, 2024, a series of preparatory events, including the SOTF Action Days on September 20-21, will set the stage for impactful discussions. The Action Days, convened by the Secretary-General of the United Nations at UN Headquarters in New York, will bring together a diverse group of participants, including youth leaders, civil society, government officials, and private sector representatives. The program will feature thematic sessions on digital and technology, peace and security, and sustainable development and financing, with a particular focus on future generations.

WFM-Canada will celebrate the spirit of the SOTF with an awareness and education campaign titled '12 Days of World Federalism,' running from September 21 (International Day of Peace) to October 2 (International Day of Non-Violence). This campaign will explore key issues of global peace, equity, justice, and nuclear disarmament through a series of engaging events, discussions, and educational resources offering reflections on the broader world federalist movement. Our goal is to contribute to the critical dialogue on improving international cooperation and creating a stronger framework for global governance and law!
