Fergus Watt recently announced that he is stepping down as of July 1, after 35 years as Executive Director of the World Federalist Movement – Canada. In an email to WFMC supporters, he said that “I feel very privileged to have been able to enjoy a career advocating for the principles and political / institutional arrangements that constitute the only sane and civilized course for humanity on this small planet.”

Watt, 64, will continue as Coordinator for the Coalition for the UN We Need project. The next Executive Director of WFM – Canada is to be announced this September.
