The 2024 World Federalist Conference hosted the Model United Nations Parliamentary Assembly (UNPA), a key event uniting young leaders and world federalists for an engaging simulation mirroring a global parliament's operations. This gathering encourages critical thinking on global issues and provides a forum for collaborative solutions that transcend national borders. Participating delegates and observers leave the simulation with a deeper understanding of the workings and diplomatic processes of the UNPA.
Among the highlights of the conference was Nada Abdallah being awarded the title of "Outstanding Delegate," a recognition given to one delegate who demonstrates exceptional skill in diplomacy, leadership, and collaborative problem-solving. Nada will represent WFM-Canada at the Ventotene International Seminar this fall, bringing her unique perspective as a Jordanian-Canadian to the island of Ventotene as they delve into the principles of federalism, peace, and democracy! Nada is a Canadian Grade 11 International Baccalaureate student interested in diplomacy, law, STEM, and activism.
Nada Abdallah's selection as "Outstanding Delegate" and her representation at the Ventotene International Seminar showcase the essence of WFM-Canada's mission to uplift and engage young voices in global dialogues. WFM-Canada is committed to providing platforms and opportunities for young leaders like Nada, enabling them to contribute their perspectives and solutions to global challenges. Her participation in the seminar marks a significant milestone in her journey and underscores the importance of youth engagement in crafting a more inclusive and forward-thinking global community.
