Human Rights and Climate Change: Connecting the Dots | Montreal Branch Event

Join us as Professor Cohen explores the critical intersection between human rights and climate change, examining how environmental degradation increasingly threatens the realization of fundamental rights and freedoms. This conversation will consider the role of courts, international bodies, and civil society in advancing climate justice. By connecting these dots, the discussion aims to identify pathways for more equitable climate governance.

Miriam Cohen is an Associate Professor in the law faculty at the Université de Montréal and holds the Canada Research Chair on Human Rights and International Reparative Justice. She is the founder of the Human Rights and International Justice Lab, where she supervises interdisciplinary research teams developing a specialized digital platform for the analysis of human rights jurisprudence.
